Paula Trousers & Shorts

140,00 kr
Inkl. moms

Paula is your go-to pattern for a timeless yet playful pair of trousers or stylish summer shorts. With her high fitted waist, front pleats, and tapered legs, she brings just the right amount of volume and structure.

You can sew Paula with or without side seam pockets — add welt pockets on the back for a tailored twist. The shorts version makes her an all-season essential. No zipper fly required — the side invisible zipper keeps things sleek and easy to sew.

Whether you go for casual linen shorts or statement trousers in flowy denim, Paula is designed to elevate your handmade wardrobe.

Sizes included in the pattern:
Language of sewing instructions: English
Skill level: Without pockets, Paula is rated 2 dots out of 4. A great next-step project for ambitious beginners who want to level up their sewing skills. You'll learn how to sew pleats, darts, a shaped waistband, and an invisible side zip.

More advanced sewists will enjoy adding the optional side seam pockets and welt pockets for extra flair and challenge, 3 dots for this variant.

Recommended fabric and notions
Paula works best in fabrics that have the perfect balance between structure and drape. Think thin jacquard, gabardine, seersucker, lyocell denim, heavier viscose or cupro twill, ... With structured fabrics that do not drape the pleats will stand out more, creating a slightly poofier silhouette, which is totally fine if you like that look. Fabrics that drape will fall more closely to the leg.

Want to try Paula in a knit fabric like French terry? That’s possible too! Just be sure to stabilize the waistband and the seams around the zip sufficiently to remove all stretch from the fabric in those areas.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND WASHING YOUR FABRIC BEFORE CUTTING.

Think about the environment and choose deadstock fabrics if you can. That way you give these leftover fabrics from fashion brands a second life and they don’t end up in landfills.

Check information about fabric usage and measurements in the description above or among the product images.
