To make the bow stand out, use a fabric that contrasts with that of the skirt, either in colour, texture or pattern etc…
To obtain the right volume for the bow, use a voluminous fabric with quite a lot of hold.
For the rest of the skirt, it is also preferable to opt for a fabric that brings hold and structure to the straight skirt."
