Harper is where old-world simplicity meets modern elegance. Inspired by the Edwardians bloomers this design brings a fresh twist to their timeless refinement with a comfortable paper bag waistband, elasticated at the back and cinched with a drawstring at the front. Crafted from a single pattern piece with no side seams, Harper flows effortlessly with clean, fluid lines.

FABRIC:

Beginner level: Choose a stable, lightweight fabric like cotton poplin or linen, with a weight between 115 g/m² and 150 g/m². This will make it easier to sew the pintucks.
Intermediate level: You can opt for a more fluid, drapey fabric like Tencel, a linen/Tencel blend, or viscose — but linen suits this design beautifully too! ;-)

FABRIC REQUIEREMENTS FOR 150 CM WIDTH:

Range 1: (32-34) 145 cm
Range 1 : (36 - 48) 240 cm
Range 2 (48 - 64): 260 cm

SUPPLIES:

A few small pieces of lightweight fusible interfacing to reinforce the buttonholes (the openings for the drawstring).
A 9 mm wide flat elastic, cut to half your waist measurement.
